Apple releases iOS 6.1.3

The new iOS update patches a security hole associated with the lock screen and improves Apple's Maps app in Japan.

Apple today launched iOS version 6.1.3 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch users.

The latest update fixes a security flaw that allowed someone to gain access to an iPhone by getting past the lock screen.
By following a selected series of steps, including making an emergency decision, a person might get around the passcode and build phone calls, hear voice mail, or check contact photos.

iOS 6.1.3 conjointly adds enhancements to Apple's Maps app for users in Japan.

iOS users will update their devices over the air by opening the Settings screen, sound on General, selecting software Update, then downloading and installing the newest version directly.
